At Element Group USA, we don’t see low adoption of refillable packaging as a failure. We see it as a design challenge.

Here’s what we believe:

If a refill system doesn’t feel like an upgrade, it won’t stick. So how do we design for real-world behavior - not just ideal-world intent? Here are just a few paths we’re exploring and prototyping with our partners:

  • Snap-in refills that feel premium: Magnetic clicks, seamless alignments, no mess. It shouldn’t feel like a chore, it should feel like a ritual.
  • Tamper-proof and hygiene-first designs: Refillable doesn’t have to mean exposed. We engineer systems that are airtight, clean, and intuitive.
  • Integrated tools for simple refilling: Built-in scoops, twist-open applicators, mess-proof pouches; details that remove friction make all the difference.
  • Aesthetic upgrades that match your vanity, not your recycling bin: A refill should look as good as the original. Otherwise, why would anyone keep it?
  • Materials that feel elevated and responsible: Recyclable mono-materials, bioplastics, paperboard shells, and beyond.

The future of refillables isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s systems are designed to work with consumers, not against them.

Let’s build beauty that lasts longer than a first impression.
